Inclusive Design in Virtual Arts Programming



Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, many arts organizations have realized the value and power of maintaining online and hybrid programming. It provides patron choice and flexibility, while also reaching a wider audience. As we are segueing into the endemic, organizations can consider how the realized lessons can influence future programming. Creating online programs that are accessible to and inclusive of persons with disabilities are also vital to the planning process.

Inclusion Best Practices in Arts Education Settings



Just in time for summer camp season! This workshop designed for teaching artists will help improve confidence and increase skill sets in facilitating arts education experiences for Pre K-12 students of all abilities in an inclusive setting.  Topics explored will include a basic overview of disability and inclusion philosophy and language, general and individual student accommodations and strategies, creating a culture of social inclusion, and supporting positive behavior.

Activating Racial Equity Principles in Arts Learning Spaces (May 12th Session)



Activate your arts instructional practices to advance inclusion, diversity, equity and access for youth! In this three-session series, Lee will explore three racial equity principles developed by the Dismantling Racism Works collaborative. Each 75-minute session will merge theory and practice by examining a selected principle and its connection to arts and classroom culture.

IDEA as a By-product of Intentional Design



In this two-hour workshop, participants will learn effective strategies of how to incorporate I.D.E.A. into organizational design. This workshop is experimental in nature and participants will take a deep dive into what I.D.E.A. really means in an institutional setting. Through a panel an interactive lecture participants will explore the different concepts of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility. This participatory workshop will provide effective models of activities that implement I.D.E.A.
