Supporting individual artists is a critical focus of many of DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities' programs. And so CAH offers several funding programs for individual artists located in the District of Columbia.
Arts and Humanities Fellowship Program (AHFP)
The Arts and Humanities Fellowship Program (AHFP) supports qualified individual artists and humanities practitioners. The goal is to support individuals who significantly contribute to the District of Columbia as a world-class cultural capital. AHFP recognizes the impact of individual artists and humanities practitioners within the District. This program supports the vitality that those individuals bring to the local community.

Projects, Events, or Festivals Project (PEF) Grant Program
The PEF grant program offers support to qualified Individuals and nonprofit arts, humanities, arts education, and service organizations. The goal is to deliver exemplary arts and/or humanities programs to a diverse range of communities within the District.
