In this two-hour workshop, participants will learn effective strategies of how to incorporate I.D.E.A. into organizational design. This workshop is experimental in nature and participants will take a deep dive into what I.D.E.A. really means in an institutional setting. Through a panel an interactive lecture participants will explore the different concepts of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility. This participatory workshop will provide effective models of activities that implement I.D.E.A. across organizations and give participants the opportunity to examine their organizations, classrooms, and/or selves more deeply.
Dr. Durell Cooper of Cultural Innovation Group, LLC. is one of the nation’s most prominent cultural strategists specializing in systems change and collaborative thought leadership. Prior to founding Cultural Innovation Group, LLC, he was a program officer at the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA). He also worked at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc., conducting marketing outreach for various target audiences, as well as engagement initiatives aimed at increasing equity and inclusion in NYC public schools.
