FY26 FPDC Addendum C: Copyright Warranty

GRANTEE’S WARRANTY REGARDING
RELATIONSHIP TO GRANT-RELATED COPYRIGHTS

The Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH), a District of Columbia government independent agency, encourages the development of programs that promote progress in the arts and humanities under D.C. Official Code § 39-204. As the official arts agency for the District, CAH is supported by local government funds and in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Grantees must own and/or be able to transfer property rights, including copyrights, of all designs and artwork provided to CAH through this NGA.

Information explaining copyrights may be found in the Frequently Asked Questions page provided by the U.S. Copyright Office, at https://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/. Should you need advice or additional information regarding copyrights, please consult an attorney.

By applying for this grant, the applicant affirms:

  1. The applicant is the legal owner or licensee of, and has all rights in and to, the design and artwork;
  1. The design or artwork does not infringe on the copyright, or any property rights, of any third party; and,
  1. CAH is not responsible for registering the design or artwork with U.S. Register of Copyrights.
