In summer 2020, CAH assembled a Task Force on Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. The goal was to create a set of practices and behaviors and a culture of fair and equitable processes. This was to ensure robust, varied, and fully accessible resources to the broad community. The aim was to substantively address any perceptions to the contrary and boldly lead, setting an example for the region and industry. Additionally, we would improve the ways we do business, where needed.
The Task Force included Commissioners, agency staff and managers, and community members, and met weekly from June 2020 to December 2020. A set of 44 recommendations was presented to the Board of Commissioners, which were unanimously accepted by the Board on January 25, 2021.
