In observance of Black History Month, CAH, the Congressional Black Associates (CBA) & National Action Network (NAN) are partnering with Horton’s Kids to read books on African American history, specifically books that have been included in the National Banned Books list.
Mahogany Book Store will be a supporter of this event as we’d like to do a book drive at the end, along with food or snacks for the children and volunteers.
Our agency's Performance Oversight Hearing is scheduled for 9 am on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
As you may know, Performance Oversight Hearings provide an opportunity for Council members to review the implementation of programs, evaluate budgetary allocations, and address any concerns regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of government operations.
As such, these hearings serve as a mechanism for accountability and transparency in the management of public resources and services in the District of Columbia.
