The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities offers several project-based funding programs for nonprofit organizations located in the District of Columbia.
East Arts (EA) Grant Program
The East Arts Project (EA) grant offers support to qualified non-profit organizations that identify as BIPOC-centered organizations (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) to deliver exemplary arts and humanities experiences to DC residents who reside within the northeast (NE) and southeast (SE) quadrants of the District of Columbia.

Facilities and Buildings (FAB) Grant Program
The Facilities and Buildings (FAB) grant supports qualified non-profit arts, humanities, arts education, and arts or humanities service organizations that own or rent facilities, intend to own or rent facilities, or seek capital project support for permanent property, technology, equipment, or digital assets designed for the training, management, production, or presentation of performances or exhibitions of the arts or humanities. Projects, Events, or Festivals Project (PEF) Grant Program
The Projects, Events, or Festivals (PEF) Grant offers support to qualified Individuals and nonprofit arts, humanities, arts education, and service organizations to deliver exemplary programs that promote arts and/or humanities activities to a diverse range of communities within the District of Columbia.

Public Art Building Communities (PABC) Grant Program
The Public Art Building Communities (PABC) grant program supports individual artists and organizations in their effort to design, fabricate and install new temporary or permanent works of public art that connect artists (and their artwork) with communities.

Lincoln Theatre Rental (Underwriting) Support
The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) provides underwriting support for venue rental for the Lincoln Theatre at 1215 U Street, NW, which is operated by “It’s My Theatre” (IMT) subject to its funding availability. Annually, CAH provides a limited number of days of support to nonprofit entities (applicants). CAH pays IMT directly for the venue rental cost for approved use of the theatre.
