East Arts Grant Program

Overview

The East Arts Project (EA) grant offers support to qualified nonprofit organizations. Eligible organizations identify as BIPOC-centered organizations (Black, Indigenous, and people of color). This grant program supports providing exemplary arts and humanities experiences to residents in Northeast and Southeast DC. Projects can include disciplines such as dance, design, folk and traditional, literature, media, music, theater, visual arts, and humanities. Please note that projects are not limited to those disciplines, to be considered for funding.

Program Objectives

By making its EA grant awards, CAH aims to meet the following goals:

  • Provide access to high-quality arts and humanities experiences for residents in the NE and SE quadrants of the District.
  • Enhance the quality of life by supporting a vibrant community identity through the arts and humanities.
  • Support artists and arts programming in the NE and SE quadrants of the District.
  • Highlight and elevate their creative excellence and accomplishments.

EA Request for Applications

The FY 2024 EA RFA closed on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

The FY 2025 EA RFA will be released in the spring/summer of 2024.
