Artist Statement:

My artistic journey has undergone a profound evolution, transitioning from a narrative painting style to an abstract lyrical approach. This shift has opened up new avenues of exploration, allowing me to engage deeply with the language of color and gesture in my work.
Influenced by the rich legacy of the Washington Color School, particularly the innovative approaches of Morris Louis and Helen Frankenthaler, my artistic journey has been a continual exploration of the interplay between color, form, and expression. I have delved into the world of abstract composition, emphasizing translucent color washes that evoke the movement, rhythm, and interplay of colors found in a musical composition.
The acquisition of several of my earlier works by the Art Bank stands as a testament to my artistic growth and evolution. While those pieces reflect a narrative approach, my current focus embraces the lyrical abstract, emphasizing translucent color washes that evoke the movement, rhythm, and interplay of colors found in a musical composition.
As I continue to explore the possibilities of abstraction, my work remains a testament to the enduring power of color to evoke expression and transcend language. Through my art, I strive to enrich the artistic community and foster a deeper appreciation for the transformative potential of visual expression
