A workshop for prospective applicants for The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) Call for Art for, "A Toast To The Boogie"
The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) in partnership with the family of George Clinton is excited to announce a special call for original artworks responding to the past, present, and future of funk music, psychedelic rock, and the cultural movements they inspire.
This upcoming summer exhibition, A Toast to the Boogie: Art in the Name of Funk(adelic) will present never-seen archival works and memorabilia from the family’s private collection alongside original artworks by DC metropolitan artists. It significantly builds on The Cosmic Slop Experience, an exhibition originally mounted at the Eaton Workshop in Winter 2023 celebrating the 50th anniversary of Funkadelic's 1973 album Cosmic Slop. It will be hosted in CAH’s exhibition space located in the lobby of 200 I (Eye) Street SE, Washington DC 20003 from June 21st - August 16, 2024.

This session is an introduction to leadership coaching as a resource for leaders and organizations. We’ll talk about what coaching is and isn’t, how leaders and their organizations can benefit, what to look for in a coach, and an exciting opportunity to get started through a new partnership with Access Coaching Collective.
Leading is harder than ever. While there are countless books, articles, and LinkedIn posts about best practices, they all leave out the most crucial element: you. Leadership coaching is fully individualized and tailored to help individual leaders be your best. Coaching is an opportunity for you to: identify what’s currently working for you and what’s getting in the way; learn how to better leverage your personal strengths; and have a safe space to navigate the ongoing challenges of leading.
