Maggie FitzPatrick, Ward 1

Vice Chairperson and Public Art Committee Chair

Maggie FitzPatrick is Founder of FitzPatrick & Co., a business advisory firm. In this role, she helps clients drive growth, maximize operational effectiveness and build enduring cultures and brands.

Before starting the firm, Maggie spent four years at Exelon, where, she led corporate affairs and philanthropy. Prior to Exelon, she served as Global Chief Communications Officer at Johnson & Johnson and Chief Communications Officer and President of the Foundation at Cigna Corporation.

Maggie is a member of the board of directors of VistaGen (VTGN), a NASDAQ listed, late stage biopharma company. She also serves on the board of AN2 Therapeutics (ANTX), a NASDAQ listed clinical-stage biopharma company. Appointed as a Commissioner in 2020 by Mayor Bowser and confirmed by the DC Council, Maggie is Vice Chairperson of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and serves as Chair of the Public Arts Committee. She was named one of the most influential global communications professionals in multiple years by PR Week Magazine and recognized as a top c-suite executive by Washington Business Journal. Maggie holds both a Bachelor of Arts in English and Public Policy from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts in Public Policy from The George Washington University. She completed the board directorship program at the Harvard Business School and is certified as a board director by the National Association of Corporate Directors. She lives with her family in Kalorama Triangle, in Ward 1.
