CAH Podcasts

Welcome to the DCArts Beat archive, episodes from a limited series podcast from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH).

Throughout the 2019 discal year, this series brought audiences news and updates from CAH. We talked with the artists and innovators who live and work right here in the District. Listeners learned about their latest projects and creations.

The 202Studio podcast was created as a way to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Commission's establishment in November 1968. Over the course of FY19, CAH interviewed 50 individuals to feature in the series. Guests included grantees, former commissioners, organizational founders, educators, and creative entrepreneurs. The result is part oral history of arts and culture in the District over the last 50 years. It is also part masterclass with some of the area’s leading talents. And it is part firsthand account of the impact of public funding for the arts through CAH.

The complete series of The 202Studio is available free on Google Podcasts, Anchor, and Spotify

Unless otherwise noted, episode guests are independent professionals, not employees or affiliates of CAH or the District of Columbia government. The views expressed are their own and not necessarily those of CAH or the District of Columbia government.
