CAH, the District's designated state arts agency, administers the Humanities Grant Program (HGP) in partnership with Humanities DC (HDC), the District's designated state humanities council. HDC utilizes funding from CAH to issue competitively-awarded subgrants to promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation of the local history of the District of Columbia.
