The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH) is seeking DC Public School and DC Public Charter School student artwork to be included in a citywide art exhibition that will highlight the best artwork created during the 2009-2010 school year.
The selected works will be honored with a gallery show and opening reception on June 4, 2010 at the Historical Society of Washington, DC. The top ten works will be purchased by DCCAH as new additions to the Art Bank collection.
This competition is open to all students attending DC Public and Public Charter Schools in grades pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Application should be completed and submitted by art teachers on behalf of the student applicant. Each school is invited to submit their top three works produced in art classes this school year.
