The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) will open applications for upcoming FY18 grant funding opportunities on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Applications and grant program information will be available online at www.dcarts.dc.gov.
CAH will conduct free information meetings for participants to learn about the agency's FY18 funding opportunities and how to submit an application, with one session on Saturday, April 22 and two sessions on Tuesday, April 25. Individual artists, humanities professionals and nonprofit organizations located within the District may attend the information meetings to learn more about agency opportunities.
"Grantmaking is central to the mission of the Commission on the Arts and Humanities," said Arthur Espinoza, Jr., Executive Director of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. "The support we are able to offer individuals and organizations is an investment in the city's culture and economic strength of our community."
CAH grant programs are competitive and subject to the availability of funds. Grant applications are reviewed and scored by peer panelists. Individuals interested in voluntarily serving as a panelist can contact CAH at www.dcarts.dc.gov or call 202-724-5613 to learn more.
