About the Arts and Humanities Fellowship Program (AHFP)
AHFP is open to established and emerging practitioners in all arts and humanities disciplines. Through AHFP, the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) provides general funding support of up to $10,000 to individuals who demonstrate exceptional creativity, thereby encouraging the contributions of individual artists and humanities practitioners to the District and cultivating a dynamic cultural sector in the city.

Funding for CAH and its programs is provided by the Government of the District of Columbia and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
