FY19 LiftOff Grant - Guidelines and Assessment

Request for Applications: FY19 LiftOff Grant

The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) is soliciting applications from qualified applicants for LiftOff, a program to build capacity and professional development of humanities nonprofits with budgets under $250,000 (cash expenses).

CAH’s LiftOff program supports capacity building of nonprofit organizations established in the arts or humanities with organizational budgets under $250,000 that face operational and infrastructure challenges inhibiting their organizational and programmatic sustainability. By working with a program participant (‘Leader”) from applicant organizations, the LiftOff program will endeavor to incorporate perspectives of organizations representing their communities.

The four-month program, tentatively scheduled between June and September 2019, will have three mandatory workshops. The cohort of awarded organizational Leaders (up to 20) will receive combination of technical assistance and in-person learning sessions. These forums are intended to provide LiftOff participant Leaders with a robust opportunity and resources aimed to strength an organization’s infrastructure.
