Anacostia River Photography

Vivid Solutions Gallery seeks submissions to a group photography exhibition highlighting the Anacostia River, to be on view March 13 – May 1, 2015. The exhibit coincides with Celebrate the River, a celebration of the Anacostia River that will serve as the closing day festivities of The National Cherry Blossom Festival, taking place near the gallery in Anacostia Park on April 12.
 
Curators will select 3-5 images from each accepted artist. Artists will coordinate the mounting of their selected works, per specs from the curators. The gallery will provide stipends for mounting costs.
 
*If you have a film/multimedia project about the Anacostia River and would like to be considered for the exhibition, please contact the gallery at [email protected] with an explanation of your project.
 
Applications are due January 23, 2015.
 
APPLICATION MATERIALS
  • Completed application form
  • Short artist statement
  • CV/resume
  • 10-15 images that communicate a narrative about the Anacostia River, considering the theme of the festival celebration, Celebrate the River o jpegs formatted at 300 dpi
  • Detail list for work samples, include the following information: title, media, dimensions (pixels), year
