The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities is pleased to announce PULSE DC, a free summer music concert series from June to September 2013 featuring performances by local, national and international artists.
PULSE DC will kick off with DC’s BIGGEST DANCE PARTY, Friday, June 14, 2013 from 6:00PM-11:00PM at the Woodrow Wilson Plaza. PULSE DC is DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities’ first ever multigenerational outdoor dance party featuring the hottest local DJ’s celebrating music through the decades: Doowop to Disco, Motown to pop rock, 90’s hits to current chart toppers.
“We are extremely excited to present a free summer music concert series,” says Lionell Thomas, Executive Director of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. “From DJ’s to live bands and Latin to classical Indian music, the Arts Commission has the unique opportunity to celebrate cultural expression from around the world. We are pleased to provide these very experiences by highlighting some of the fine talent in the District and abroad.”
Kid City! Ready. Set. Dance is an interactive family-friendly event with music and dance performances, arts and crafts, inflatable obstacle courses and more! This fun filled evening will be held be held at Yards Park, June 26, 2013 at 5:00pm. A series of additional performances will be announced.
