Marvin Bowser - Ward 7

Marvin Bowser is a native Washingtonian. He is vice president of program management at Science Applications International Corporation, where he manages large research and development projects. Bowser is actively working with East of the River artists and arts organizations with the goal of improving their capacity and access.

Since his tenure on the Commission on the Arts and Humanities, more East of the River artists and arts organizations are applying for grants and more are competing successfully. Bowser also serves on the Commission on the Arts and Humanities' executive committee. He is an avid gardener and self-styled stained glass artist who loves the opportunity to improve the quality of life for the people of Washington, DC through the arts. Bowser collects African art, art glass and American pottery.

Bowser holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from American University, and a Masters of Arts in telecommunications from George Washington University.
